Boulangerie Sign Art Part Two!

Got a last minute call to do this board last night for Boulangerie Bakery in Logan Square. It's taking the place of what used to be New Wave Cafe. Opened today!
Took me 5 hours to complete, all in chalkboard. I did a preliminary sketch on a napkin then went to town. Ill post more detailed pictures of the LOGAN sign on the far right, it looks pretty cool, so stay tuned!
Overall, I'm happy how this board turned out.

*Updated! I was a little rusty on the perspective of the Logan sign but nevertheless looks believable.

Beauty Bar Art Show, Nov 29, 2012.

Did another show at Beauty Bar November 29. Had a great time, met new people, networked. Also did a live painting on the spot. If you're an artist seeking for opportunities to show your work, I definitely recommend joining the Infusion Project. This would be my 4th show with them...

Also, if you are in need of a great photographer, I suggest you contact Buckaroo Ballinger, http://www.buckaroobazaar.com.
He took these pics from the show. Enjoy!

Album Cover for Dedicated Ears

Had fun doing this one.
Also did the graphics.

Album Cover for Hemmingbirds.

Hemmingbirds! Check them out! Love their music. I did their album cover and it turned out great. I was happy, they were happy, everyone was happy.
Below is the process in which i worked in and how the final manifested:

Mystic Tree

A sketch I did for an album cover but didn't fit with the theme of the songs. I was happy how it turned out. I might use this for a future piece.

And she makes a comeback.

Well its been a while, sad to say. But nevertheless Ill try my best to post more. Dont have internet nor TV at home at the current moment and it feels like such a different world. I have more time to paint now and read. It's been a long time since Ive read anything cover to cover.... Sad to say.

Had an art show Thursday Oct 4th at Beauty Bar. Did a similar show at Privet Nightclub last year. These shows are late, usually 9pm-2am. But the networking is good. Always nice to see familiar faces too.

Here are 2.5x3.5 drawings I did of these fine ladies. Need to brush up on my anatomy, feel rusty. Enjoy!
