Beauty Bar Art Show, Nov 29, 2012.

Did another show at Beauty Bar November 29. Had a great time, met new people, networked. Also did a live painting on the spot. If you're an artist seeking for opportunities to show your work, I definitely recommend joining the Infusion Project. This would be my 4th show with them...

Also, if you are in need of a great photographer, I suggest you contact Buckaroo Ballinger, http://www.buckaroobazaar.com.
He took these pics from the show. Enjoy!

Album Cover for Dedicated Ears

Had fun doing this one.
Also did the graphics.

Album Cover for Hemmingbirds.

Hemmingbirds! Check them out! Love their music. I did their album cover and it turned out great. I was happy, they were happy, everyone was happy.
Below is the process in which i worked in and how the final manifested:

Mystic Tree

A sketch I did for an album cover but didn't fit with the theme of the songs. I was happy how it turned out. I might use this for a future piece.

And she makes a comeback.

Well its been a while, sad to say. But nevertheless Ill try my best to post more. Dont have internet nor TV at home at the current moment and it feels like such a different world. I have more time to paint now and read. It's been a long time since Ive read anything cover to cover.... Sad to say.

Had an art show Thursday Oct 4th at Beauty Bar. Did a similar show at Privet Nightclub last year. These shows are late, usually 9pm-2am. But the networking is good. Always nice to see familiar faces too.

Here are 2.5x3.5 drawings I did of these fine ladies. Need to brush up on my anatomy, feel rusty. Enjoy!

Cardboard Please dont bend...

I joined a show this year that will exhibit more than 100 artists works on cardboard. Two good friends also joined, Carla Wyzgala and Caleb King. Saw their pieces and they are fantastic. The show is open two days only on Friday November 25th and Sat. November 26th from 6pm to 11pm. Definitely go and see this show. It will be great AND the pieces will be super affordable! Address is 600 W. Cermak, Chicago, corner of Jefferson and Cermak.

For this piece, I wanted to draw the female body decorated heavily with intricate designs. Ive been drawing these patterns for quite some time now and always though about incorporating them with figures. Took me about 3 hours to do this piece. I used micro pens, sharpies, and a little bit of pastels to add brightness.
Title is " My First Love".
So far I like this direction, expect more to come! Enjoy!

Halloween Project

I was asked to do a mural of a Clown CarnEvil theme in brookfield. At first on the phone I thought it was a small project on a door....little did I know that it was about 20ft by 50ft. Gaahlee! Started out painting the main clown in the middle then work my way out to the side walls and then the ramp. Used spray paint for the whole thing and one brush, mainly for outlining. Took me a total of about 12 hours to complete. Enjoyed every minute of it!

Where it all started.

Getting there.
The whole shebang.
